Coon Rock has an elevation of 728 feet. Mill Creek meanders around the rock and flows into the Wisconsin River.
Since today is Halloween it is appropriate to tell you the story of the Ghost of Mill Creek. This area was a trappers haven, and to this day traps are still set for racoon and beaver. But..according to legend a trapper was killed and his traps looted and he now frequents the area and traps are opened frequently, making it hard to catch anything these days. Karma....I guess.
Excellent! I'm very excited to see more of Coon Rock and beyond - of course!
