Coon Rock is an unincorporated community located in the town of Arena in Iowa County, Wisconsin, United States. Coon Rock is 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Spring Green, Wisconsin. My plan is to photograph the area's beauty, give you a little history of the area, and a glimpse of my little part of the world.

Was once a thriving Motel...until the floods
This is on the outskirts of Spring Green. A couple of years ago this area flooded and many of the houses and businesses were ruined. This place never recovered and sits there unused. Sad. |

This business has changed hands many times.
It is on Hwy 14 and started as an antique shop, then a buy and sell thrift store, and now it seems to be a place to buy and rent canoes and kayaks. |

Villa Louis Visitor Center
Villa Louis Visitor Center is built on stilts because the Mississippi River has flooded this area many times. My only concern was "how do the handicapped get up there" I guess getting older makes me think of these things. There is handicapped parking, but no elevator or ramp. Hmm. |
